Karen Nielson has been with Umpqua Bank since 2004. She has been a Store (Branch) manager since 2012 and has been in her current role as manager of the Downtown Eugene Main Umpqua Bank since 2017. For years Umpqua Bank has been known as “The World’s Greatest Bank” and in December 2019, for the 15th year in a row, was recognized as Oregn’s Most Admired Financial Institution. In early 2020 Umpqua Bank responded to the current financial challenges faced by businesses across their footprint with a PPP loan submission and approval process that saved approximately 250,000 jobs. Umpqua Bank continues to earn the title of Business Bank of Choice.
